Shanley's 'Doubt' Scheduled April 18-22 at Delgado Community College

The Delgado Community College Theatre Program announces their latest production, “Doubt: A Parable”by John Patrick Shanley, winner of the Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award in 2005.

The play tells the story of Sister Aloysius, a Bronx school principal, who takes matters into her own hands when she suspects the young Father Flynn of improper relations with one of the male students.

“Doubt”is directed by Michael Aaron Santos. The play will be performed by students from the Delgado Theatre Program.

 The production staff includes scene design by James Means, lighting and sound design by Tom Dawson and costume design by George Spelvin.

The play opens Wednesday, April 18, at the Delgado Drama Hall, 615 City Park Ave., Building 1, 3rd floor. The production will run through Sunday, April 22. Curtain times for Wednesday-Saturday performances are at 8 p.m. and the closing matinee performance on Sunday is at 3 p.m.

Tickets are $12 general admission, $10 senior citizens and Delgado students, faculty and staff. Thursday, April 19 is Delgado Appreciation Night when all tickets for Delgado students, faculty and staff are $8.
