an industry-based credential, learn the fundamentals of AI for business, and strengthen
their leadership and power skills.
The Small Business Leadership Academy will launch on Monday, August 31 and will culminate
with a graduation ceremony on November 9. Small business leaders and entrepreneurs
are invited to apply to the program, which is sponsored by Cox. The application deadline is August 9, 2026.
"On behalf of our more than 300 local employees, we’re excited to support the Small
Business Leadership Academy, now in its seventh year," said Sunni LeBeouf, Market
Vice President for Cox Greater New Orleans. "This program gives local entrepreneurs
the tools they need to grow and scale their businesses. It’s jam-packed with practical
insights, from scaling operations to closing deals, and offers opportunities to learn
directly from industry experts."
“Delgado is partnering with Cox to deliver a comprehensive curriculum that will empower
business owners and leaders to strengthen every aspect of business operations for
greater profitability and sustainability. The program is proven, transformative, and
a sincere reflection of our shared commitment to see Louisiana businesses succeed,”
said Delgado Chancellor Dr. Larissa Littleton-Steib.
“Entrepreneurs provide innovation, workforce opportunities, and economic support to
our region and state. Delgado’s partnership with Cox demonstrates our commitment to
align training with economic and workforce demands,” said Dr. Arlanda Williams-Smith,
Vice Chancellor for Workforce Development at Delgado Community College.
The program is open to all Cox suppliers and to non-suppliers, with priority given
to requests from suppliers. Enrollment is limited to up to 40 participants, and participants
who complete the program will earn continuing education units from Delgado.
