Delgado Appoints Dr. Timothy R. Stamm as Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs / College Provost

for Academic Affairs / College Provost at Delgado Community College!

Dr. Timothy Stamm
Dr. Stamm has been a cornerstone of academic leadership at Delgado since 2006, bringing
more than two decades of teaching, library, and administrative experience to his new
role. Most recently, he has served simultaneously as Dean of Library Services (appointed
2012) and Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. In these capacities, he has
overseen all administrative functions of the Library, supervised faculty, and acted
as the College’s Institutional Accreditation Liaison with the Southern Association
of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)—a role he has held since
2007.
Professional and Service Highlights

Library and Academic Leadership: Executive Director of Curriculum and Program Development (2006–2012); Dean of Library Services (2012–present); Interim Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs (2024–2025).

Accreditation and Standards: SACSCOC Institutional Accreditation Liaison since 2007; peer reviewer evaluator and committee chair for multiple SACSCOC review committees; member of the workgroup defining future Commission leadership characteristics.

Statewide Collaboration: Served on the executive board of LOUIS: The Louisiana Library Network, including two terms as board chair; honored as a “Leader in Librarianship” in 2016.

Professional Committees: Contributed to statewide and national workgroups on library cataloging / metadata standards, general education core competencies, and alternative teaching qualifications for occupational and terminal career instructional programs.

and ensure that Delgado’s curriculum meets the highest standards of quality and relevance
for our two‑year college students.
