University of Holy Cross and Delgado Add New Credit Transfer Agreements for Radiologic Technology Students

April 07, 2021

The University of Holy Cross (UHC) and Delgado Community College (Delgado) have signed articulation agreements between their Health Science departments making it easier for students to transfer credits from Delgado to UHC.

Beginning in the fall 2021 semester, Delgado students who complete an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Radiologic Technology (Rad Tech) will have the opportunity to transfer those credit hours and apply them toward completion of their Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences at the University of Holy Cross.

Delgado students in the Associate of Applied Science program can transfer as many as 76 credit hours including specified professional training program from the Delgado AAS Rad Tech degree to the University of Holy Cross which requires a total of 120 hours to complete a bachelor’s degree.

The two agreements were announced and signed today by UHC President Dr. Stanton F. McNeely III, and Delgado Community College Chancellor Dr. Larissa Littleton-Steib.

The articulation agreement between UHC and Delgado marks one of many articulation agreements signed between the two schools over the past several years.

“These new articulation agreements with Delgado Community College provide current Delgado students the opportunity to prepare them to become productive members of our community as well as promote the academic development and improvement in the quality of life of the citizens in the region,” said UHC President Dr. McNeely.

“We’re so pleased to sign this agreement with the University of Holy Cross,” said Delgado Chancellor Dr. Littleton-Steib. “Agreements such as these provide our students with a roadmap which leads to exceptional opportunities to continue their studies and earn their next degree. The signing exemplifies a strong commitment and a shared vision between Delgado Community College and the University of Holy Cross to meet students where they are and provide seamless academic mobility.”
