Delgado and New Orleans VA Medical Center Announce Partnership

May 13, 2019

Delgado Community College and the New Orleans VA Medical Center have announced a partnership that places Delgado Barber-Stylist students inside the VA facility in downtown New Orleans to provide services.

Patriot Clips, the new salon that opened May 6, is located in the rehabilitation services building at the New Orleans VA Medical Center. Patrons may visit for a haircut Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Appointments will be available in the future, as more services are added.

The first veteran to get a haircut in the new salon was Vietnam-era Navy veteran David Battista.

Battista said about his barber, "He did very, very good--better than good. He's a professional. I might bring my two boys in for haircuts!"
