Woody Ogé, lifelong supporter of Delgado Community College, dies at 74

Chancellor Joan Davis is sad to announce the passing of a dear friend and lifelong supporter of Delgado Community College, Woody Ogé, at age 74. He died peacefully at his home in Gretna on Wednesday, April 4.

Mr. Ogé served as a member of the Delgado Community College Foundation board of directors since 2006, and he served on the LCTCS Board of Supervisors since 2008, holding the position of chairman of the LCTCS board.

He was the retired director of business affairs for Ingalls Shipbuilding-Avondale Operations. He held degrees in industrial engineering from Southeastern Louisiana University and LSU, and received advanced education at the Wharton School and Harvard University.
