Licensed Practical Nurse to Registered Nurse (LPN-RN) Options

LPNs have the option of completing the Charity School of Nursing curriculum through one of four tracks:

  1. Generic - complete the entire curriculum
  2. Credit examination for up to 13 credit hours
  3. LPN-RN Transition option
  4. Advanced placement option for students who completed the Delgado Practical Nursing Program within one year from date of application.

Enrollment is limited in the nursing programs. Applicants are selected by a profile system ranking applicants based on the pre-nursing entrance exam (math, English, and reading); GPA (of any college course taken); Delgado GPA (if applicable); and
academic history.

For detailed information about the RN program, please see the ADN Information Bulletin.
