Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

Harold Gaspard is a proud 53-year veteran at Delgado Community College.  As Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of the School of Allied Health, Harold strives to provide a supportive, learner-centered environment that ensures high standards of teaching, learning, and student success. Harold initiated the Radiologic Technology Program in 1973, which has grown into 27 healthcare programs and is one of the largest healthcare divisions in the nation.

Harold is active in business, civic, administrative, and professional organizations and served in various roles.  He greatly enjoys working with the healthcare community and strives to secure endowments, scholarship funds, and other resources to support the academic faculty, programs, and students. Harold's academic background includes an A.M.A. Certificate in Radiologic Technology from Charity Hospital School of Radiography, an undergraduate degree from William Carey University, and a graduate degree from Louisiana State University.

Harold enjoys working with students and watching their commitment, dedication, and determination evolve into a meaningful healthcare career.  Delgado Community College values students, their accomplishments, and their contributions to the New Orleans area and surrounding communities.
