May 20, 2022

Delgado Community College announces Never Stop Learning Week – a week of workshops and more for adult learners, June 18-23, 2022, at the Delgado Community College City Park Campus.

Delgado’s Never Stop Learning Week offers workshops around college access, career exploration, financial literacy, and a Health and Community Resource Fair that is family-friendly and brings together all the educational and social services needed to start college.

The week starts off with a virtual preview day on Saturday, June 18 at 10 am where visitors can learn all about Delgado and speak with faculty members from various programs. The first virtual workshop on Monday, June 20 at 6:30 pm, focuses on career exploration, narrowing down the career choices and the pathway that Delgado offers to that career. On Tuesday, June 21 at 6:30 pm there will be a workshop in-person and virtually on financial literacy, which includes information on scholarships, financial planning and more.

The capstone event is the Health and Community Resources Fair on Wednesday, June 22, 2:30 – 6:30 pm, where students can explore support services and free resources to help them through college and life (i.e. mental health counseling, food resources, tutoring and more), a kids’ corner with activities, college workshops and tours of the City Park Campus. The week concludes with a final bilingual workshop in-person and virtually on Thursday, June 23 at 6:30 pm about Delgado enrollment, and the Adult Ed and ESL programs. This workshop will be offered in English and Spanish.
