Delgado Officials Monitoring Developing Weather Conditions

July 10, 2019

Officials are monitoring a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico that has the potential to develop into a tropical storm. While it is too soon to forecast a tropical storm in the New Orleans area, residents are encouraged to review hurricane plans and prepare for heavy rain.

Delgado officials are keeping a close watch on developing conditions and will share information if the weather requires any changes to the College’s operating schedule. Please pay attention to the College’s website and social media channels and, most importantly, register or renew your registration for Delgado Alert to receive emergency alerts from Delgado by text, email or phone call.

If you have already registered, log on to Delgado Alert now and make certain your registration is still active. Re-registration is required periodically.

Updates from the City of New Orleans will be provided at ready.nola.gov and on social media @nolaready. Residents can also receive emergency alerts directly from the City by text, email or phone call. To register for alerts, text your zip code to 888777 or go to ready.nola.gov/alerts.
