If you are experiencing a medical emergency or life threatening injury please call campus police for immediate assistance, 504-671-6111. All campus police officers are first aid certified and can provide appropriate treatment. Campus police will notify the Health Services Coordinator and dispatch to the scene of the emergency.
For non emergenct/non life threatening treatments Delgado's Health Services Coordinator is located on the City Park Campus in Building 11, Room 105A and is dedicated to providing quality health and wellness activities, educational information, and emergency medical services to its students, faculty, and staff members.
Health Services contributes to the educational experience by offering basic medical assessments such as:
- General health assessments
- Basic first aid and over-the-counter medications
- Blood pressure screenings
- Blood glucose screenings and weight measurements
- EKG monitoring
The Office of Health Services is a fully equipped emergency medical provider which handles medical emergencies on the City Park campus. Non-emergent situations are assessed, treated, and then released on the campus or referred to an outside provider by a Nationally Registered and State Certified Paramedic.
