Zoom Access

Users with paid Zoom subscriptions utilizing their DCC account can now submit a helpdesk ticket requesting to convert their paid subscription to a DCC Zoom license. **Helpdesk instructions are indicated below. 

ZoomBreakout Room has been enabled globally:

  • Breakout rooms allow you to split your Zoom meeting in up to 50 separate sessions. The meeting host can choose to split the participants of the meeting into these separate sessions automatically or manually and can switch between sessions at any time.

Zoom Web Client is now enabled globally and is now an available option for Zoom Access. *Note: Meeting experiences may be limited when joining from a browser. 

Zoom Outlook plugin is now available. Delgado Zoom users  can schedule and start meetings from within the Outlook desktop application. If the Zoom plugin is not visible, you will need to close/reopen Outlook.

ServiceNow® is the official platform used by the college to request IT services. Therefore, OIT will utilize this platform to fulfill requests for new Zoom accounts and to convert your paid Zoom subscription to a DCC Zoom license.

Instructions for doing so are as follows:

  1. Navigate your browser to ServiceNow: https://delgadoprod.service-now.com/sp.
  2. On the ServiceNow® Welcome page, enter your LoLA (Delgado’s online student portal) username and password.
  3. (Optional) Select the Remember Me check box to remain logged in until you manually log out.
  4. Click Login.
  5. Select Desktop & Laptop Request>Request Software Installation or Removal.
  6. In the Please describe the justification for your request field, note that you are requesting a new Zoom account --or-- you wish to convert your paid Zoom subscription to a DCC Zoom license.
  7. In the What software is being requested or removed field, enter Zoom.
  8. Once all required fields are completed, click Submit.
  9. Supervisor approval is required for OIT to service the ticket.

Zoom Education Webinar sessions are offered each week with a live host to answer your questions, and focus on the following topics: 

  • How to download Zoom applications and join a Zoom meeting
  • How to schedule a meeting and send out invitations
  • In-meeting controls and differentiation tools (including the waiting room, share screen, breakout rooms)
