June 2025 marked a milestone month for Delgado Athletic Director and Head Baseball Coach Joe Scheuermann, who was recognized with two top honors for his lifetime achievement and legacy in junior college sports. Scheuerman was presented an inaugural National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Coaches Legacy Award on June 17 and inducted into the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame on June 28.

Delgado Cosmetology Instructor Sylvia Solomon Named President of Louisiana State Beauticians and Barbers Association

Delgado Community College is proud to announce cosmetology instructor Sylvia Solomon, DPC, IOC, has been appointed the eighth president of the Louisiana State Beauticians and Barbers Association, Inc. (LSBBA). Solomon has been a member of the LSBBA since 1997. She is also a graduate of Delgado's cosmetology program and has been a Delgado instructor since 2010.

Spring 2025 RN Graduates Represent First Start-to-Finish Class at Delgado's Ochsner Center for Nursing and Allied Health

The Delgado Charity School of Nursing Spring 2025 graduating class of 114 registered nurses is the first cohort to begin and finish the program in its entirety at its new location--the Ochsner Center for Nursing and Allied Health at the City Park Campus. The graduates were honored in a Pinning Ceremony on May 16 and officially received their associate degrees at Delgado's Spring 2025 Commencement on May 20.
