Graduation Information

The information below is designed to assist students who are seeking to earn an Associate, Technical Diploma or Certificate degree. Students should always confer with their academic advisor to ensure they are on track to graduate as planned.

Degree Verification

Employers and other entities may request a Degree Verification from the National Student Clearinghouse to certify that a person has graduated from Delgado Community College. 

Diplomas will not be verified for graduates who have outstanding financial holds. 

Automatic Awards

The College automatically awards students with the appropriate credential and documents the award on the student’s official academic transcript for the following certificates: Certificate of General Studies, Career and Technical Certificates and Certificates of Technical Studies embedded within an Associate degree program.

Students do not have to apply for these certificates. They will automatically be awarded and the student will be notified via their preferred e-mail account of the status. 

Some students may be eligible to receive more than two Career and Technical Certificates, if applicable.
